The Limbo Archipelago — Islands & Map

Five islands are known so far, each with its own community, problems to solve and hidden treasures. You travel between them by actually flying your seaplane — not a fast-travel menu.

Facts last checked: August 12, 2026 · full update at launch on August 27, 2026

Pre-release coverage: everything below comes from the free demo, official store pages and press previews. We re-verify every fact at launch on August 27, 2026.

Known Islands

IslandPeopleWhat we know
Lou's IslandStarting point: a main island (beach, jungle, waterfall, cliffs) plus a western islet and a southern isle (demo map). Home of the storm-damaged community hub you repair first, respawning fruit trees and your future beach-hut base. The map counts 12 treasure chests here.
Tangle BloomThe CharneysThe archipelago's liveliest town, due south of Lou's Island — stone streets, the mayor's residence, hot-air balloons and airships overhead (demo). Your first flight destination; Jane is researching in its archipelago.
NorleafThird island reached in the demo (by Gondo's boat): home of the radio tower damaged in the storm, with Bobster leading repairs. The German localization names it “Nordblatt” (north-leaf) — a position hint we'll verify at launch.
Gleam ReefThe VooiHome of islanders who move to the music of the tides. Details beyond the official description are still unrevealed.
BoulderiaThe GorplinsA sugar-crystal mining island run by famously grumpy locals. More at launch.

The official description says each island hides treasures and unique problems to solve — and the demo already added Norleaf to the four originally named islands, so expect the full archipelago to be bigger still. We'll map everything at launch.

Treasure & Exploration

Treasure chests are confirmed officially (“hidden treasures”) and in demo play. The in-game map shows 12 chests on Lou's Island; hands-on reports have verified the contents of four so far — clothing items, an extra inventory slot and a shellings stash — so treat 12 as the map's total and four as whats been opened and documented. Chests can also hold coins (press preview).

The world runs a full day-night cycle (24-hour in-game clock), you can swim, and beaches collect floating debris worth scooping (demo). Full treasure-location maps with screenshots come in the launch-week update.
