What We Know About the Switch Version

• Release date: August 27, 2026 — out now, same day as the other platforms;
• eShop listing: live and purchasable on the US Nintendo eShop (checked 12 September 2026);
• Price: US eShop standard and Nintendo Switch 2 Edition $24.99; Upgrade Pack $0;
• Demo: no Switch demo. The Xbox demo is still listed; the Steam store page we fetched on August 28 still did not show a demo button.

A cozy seaplane life sim is a natural fit for handheld play, and Switch owners of games like this make up a big part of the genre's audience — the Switch version is out; we have not published our own performance notes yet.

Switch 2 Compatibility

Nintendo's US eShop lists an official Lou's Lagoon – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. The product copy says it offers improved performance with a higher frame rate and resolution. The standalone pages are live: Switch 2 Edition and the Upgrade Pack (checked 12 September 2026). The US Nintendo Switch 2 Edition product page lists these file sizes (checked 13 September 2026): Nintendo Switch about 5.2 GB, Nintendo Switch 2 about 19.5 GB. Use the matching product page and the console download prompt. These are listed sizes, not measurements we made.

Performance

Resolution and frame-rate details for Switch have not been published. The nearest official handheld data point: the devs say the demo runs on Steam Deck “playable but not fully optimized,” recommending the Disable Frame Limit setting (official demo FAQ). We have not yet measured frame-rate or resolution on Switch hardware.

PS5, Nintendo Switch Store and Switch 2

The PS5 version has an official PlayStation Store listing. The Nintendo Switch store is the US eShop listing linked above; it is the place to check the current price and download button. Nintendo also publishes the separate Switch 2 Edition and Upgrade Pack links in the compatibility section.

Those store pages confirm availability and product variants, not a performance target. No verified PS5/Switch frame-rate number is published here, and the Switch 1.1.0 patch status remains a separate check.
